A MAN WITH A KNIFE HAS BROKEN INTO DAVID GUETTA’S IBIZA HOME
A polish man has been arrested on suspicion of breaking into David Guetta’s Ibiza home armed with a knife, it has been reported.Guetta’s staff spotted the man in the kitchen before he threw away a knife (which has yet to be found) and jumped over a wall to escape. The EDM star’s house is located near San Jose in the west of the Balearic island, where the DJ and producer lives during the summer when he plays at Pacha every Thursday for his popular F*** Me I'm Famous parties. The suspect — who has been caught in the star’s house before — previously tricked a member of staff into thinking he was a friend of the french DJ and was let into the house. He is expected to be handed a restraining order preventing him from approaching Guetta, his family or his house. The suspect is currently being held by police on the island before he is brought before a judge in a private hearing.Media: David Guettas Ibiza home broken into David GuettaIbizaHomeBrokenIntoKnifeIt’s the second time the man has been caught in the EDM star’s house…Navigation Section:NewsSection Priority:Priority 1

SOLOMUN TWOS COMPANY
SOLOMUN: TWOS COMPANYSolomuns +1 is back at Pacha again this season...Issue:534Solomun's residencies at Pacha indicated a significant meeting of two worlds last season: the merging of underground values with more mainstream clubbing principles — and vice versa. With his back to the VIP area — which remained as packed as ever — the Diynamic boss brought the likes of DJ Koze, Heidi and DJ Hell to play b2b at one of Ibiza's most glam clubs every week. It was such a blast, they've asked him to do it all over again...
How successful was Solomun +1 last season and why?“Fortunately the first year at Pacha was a success, so there was no doubt that we would continue the residency there also this year. Of course it is always hard for me to answer this question, maybe it would be easier for somebody else, because I am not objective at all. But maybe it was a mixture between the new look that we gave Pacha for the night by shifting the DJ booth to THE MID le of the DANCEFLOOR and of course my great +1 ARTIST
Cocoon Ibiza will move to Pacha this summer Sven Väth announces
Cocoon will start a new residency at Pacha in summer 2018 after an 18 year-year spell at Amnesia. Sven Väth's legendary weekly party will be moving from its slot on Monday nights in Amnesia to the equally iconic Pacha. The statement was made by the DJ today over social media. "Ibiza will never stop changing and nor will Cocoon," he said via Facebook. This is metamorphosis multiplied by two and I am so excited about this collision of visions. Lets turn this page and get on the DANCEFLOOR ""Eight incredible years with Amnesia and not a moment to take back," a statement made on Cocoon's official Facbeook page added. "Visual innovations and concepts that drank deep from the passion and colour of Ibiza that had entranced Sven Väth all those years ago. Cocoon with Amnesia made some extraordinary parties. This is a new Pacha meeting the 19th season of Cocoon and it is time to make some parties that could be nowhere else in the world but Ibiza. This really will be a new Pacha experience."Of course, Papa Sven is no stranger to Pacha, having played an unforgettable b2b with Solomun there last summer.More information and line-ups to come in the coming months. Blondish Ibiza has such an impact throughout the world of music
What were your first experiences of Ibiza? Vivie-Ann: “I first came here in 2006. I was living in Rome, so it was more natural to come to Ibiza than when I was DJing in Montreal. That’s when I first started coming to Circo Loco — Richie, Sven, Ricardo and Luciano were really big and they were always doing after-parties, and because I was a RAVE I was always there. I started playing here around the same time at a place called Penelo- pe’s. Some guys who owned Stereo in Montreal got half-a-million dollars from a rich woman and they wanted to throw a party in Ibiza. They spent it all in a month, but I was still the resident. It was across the street from Pacha, which I think is now Heart. Back then, it was known as a cursed place and there was all these different stories about what happened there in the past.“There was a bit of a gap then, until me and An- stascia started playing here about five years ago. We got our first CircoLoco bookings last year and that was as you can imagine. If you’ve been going to CircoLoco for 10 years, you’ve been through a lot of the evolution of the place, and MUSIC lly. I remember Dyed [Soundorom] from Apollonia playing ‘Where Are You Now?’ by Andre Lodemann and the plane would go by. You have a whole bank of MUSIC that

MY FIRST TIME IN IBIZA RICHY AHMED
MY FIRST TIME IN IBIZA: RICHY AHMEDWe caught up with Richy Ahmed to chat about his first time on the White Isle...
Issue:546“The first time I came to Ibiza was on a lads’ holiday. It was 2001 and there were 15 lads from South Shields on holiday, all staying in an apartment at the back of San Antonio.
We’d always loved partying but at that stage we still hadn’t really got into HOUSE MUSIC so Ibiza was my first proper experience of it all. We basically went to every single club on the island — and made a point of doing so.
We went everywhere, just to experience everything.
We went to the foam party at Eden, to Es Paradis for Clockwork Orange and to Pacha. I went to Space four times in one week! Then there was Manumission…wow! But as soon I got to DC10 I knew it was the place for me.
I just couldn’t get enough of it — it was complete debauchery. One of my mates even went out for four days at a time that week. Oh… and we made sure to get leathered in the West End too!”

STEVE AOKI IS RELEASING FOUR HOUSE TRACKS EARLY NEXT YEAR
Dim Mak boss Steve Aoki has admitted to taking a break from making EDM/electro/pop to release four successive house tracks early next year.Speaking in a recent interview with DJ Mag (set to be printed in our November issue), the cake-throwing DJ told us the tunes were made during another season in Ibiza, where he grew accustomed to playing to crowds made up predominately of Brits and mainland Europeans used to hearing house and techno. He also said he enjoyed playing mid-tempo stuff, mostly during his Pacha residency and sets at Cafe Mambo.'With house, it's a different kind of energy," Aoki said, in a recent phone interview with DJ Mag."You're not going full force, you have a really great groove that you can stay in; that can keep you in the same place and it's continuous, it lasts longer and it's a different kind of flow. It's nice to change it up. You're not speeding down the freeway the whole time," he concluded. Hot Since 82 takes us inside Pachas Labyrinth
Hot Since 82 is the latest superstar DJ to land a residency in Ibiza, with the much-loved UK export set to launch his all-new club-night, Labyrinth, at Pacha this season. DJ Mag Ibiza meets up with the Knee Deep In Sound bossman at the Hard Rock Hotel to talk magic, mysticism and moving forward...WORDS: Charlotte Lucy CijffersCOVER PICS: Gemma ParkerHot Since 82 wants to bring a touch of nostalgia back to the island. “With my residency, Labyrinth, I want to inject a bit of class, a bit of nostalgia and a bit of soul into not just Pacha but the whole island,” he tells DJ Mag Ibiza on a scorching Thursday afternoon. Hot Since 82 (real name: Daley Padley) is perched on the edge of a sunlounger poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel in Playa d’en Bossa, swathed in a leopard-print shirt, cascading necklaces and black-out shades. He’s no stranger to the island — in fact he’s been coming here for nigh-on two decades — with his new residency one of the final pieces in his drive for global DJ domination. “I used to watch my idols on the island, people like Roger Sanchez, David Morales, Erick Morillo, Sven Vath and Luciano, that’s why this place is so important to me,” he explains as we chat over a club sandwich. Morales is just one of the heritage acts set to spin at Daley's new night this summer, with Sasha, Carl Craig and Goldie also on the bill, alongside residents Matthias Meyer and La Fleur. On the brink of what’s set to be a wild season for the Leeds local, Hot Since 82 takes us down the rabbit hole and into the Labyrinth...Talk us through the first time you came to Ibiza?“It was 2000, I was 17 and a young raver. I came with 10 of my mates causing trouble down in San Antonio where all the Brits hang out. Honestly, it was probably the best holiday we ever went on. Obviously we’d all just left high school and we had our first taste of freedom. We hit up Bora Bora and all the local places like Eden and Es Paradis.”How big a goal has an Ibiza residency been for you, career-wise?“For
DJ MAG IBIZA MEETS COCO COLE
Coco Cole is Ibiza’s newest recruit. She’s put down roots on the island for the first time this year, after being asked by Martin Solveig to be a season-long resident at his popular Pacha-based party, My House. “Martin Solveig came into Capital XTRA to do a back-to-back mix with me for the Clubbers Guide and we super-vibed off each other playing tunes and nerding out about music,” she tells DJ Mag, excitedly. “Then, a few months later, I got the offer to be his resident all summer. I couldn't believe it, he's such a mega babe. I'm eternally grateful.”It’s not just Solveig who has shined a light on Cole’s immense talent — she’s just taken over the decks every Friday and Saturday night at Capital Radio for their Capital Weekender show, something she describes as a “good-time, pre-drinking, post-party show” with lots of shout-outs and zero adverts. With her first successful island season already firmly in the bag, DJ Mag Ibiza takes a moment to catch up with Coco Cole...In your opinion, what makes Pacha such a special club?“I love how it evolves to suit the theme of the night. From the lights to decoration to the dancers and soundsystem, the production level is incredible. You feel like you've stumbled into a different world when you're there. Also, all the staff are totally lush and really take care of you.”Talk us through three summer anthems you’ll be spinning this season?“Dusky absolutely smashed it with ‘Ingrid Is A Hybrid’. Yes, it harks back to the ‘90s rave sound but in a way that screams 2016. It oozes emotion and the reaction to it on the dancefloor is mad. I'm also obsessed with the Tim Green remix of Paul McCartney Wings vs Timo Maas ‘Nineteen Hundred Eighty Five’. That vocal matched with Tim Green's cinematic beauty is just heaven. Finally, Roman Flugel pulled out Inner City ‘Big Fun’ at Maceo Plex's Mosaic night at Pacha near the end of the night — I lost my shit. It was the perfect injection of energy and recognisability that was needed at that precise
IBIZA QA MARTIN SOLVEIG
IBIZA QA: MARTIN SOLVEIGMartin Solveig has a new night at Pacha, My House, so we collared him to get the lowdown...
Issue:547Martin Solveig is a DJ with a longstanding affinity with the island of Ibiza. Something of a national treasure in his homeland of France, Solveig is also an esteemed producer and a man who has clocked up an impressive number of crossover house anthems in his time.
Although he’s renowned for his electro and nu-disco inspired sound, this summer will see the Parisian maestro go back to his house roots courtesy of his aptly titled new night, My House, which sees him take centre stage at Ibiza’s world famous Pacha nightclub.
Promising a night of high-end glamour and killer tunes, it’ll see Solveig line up alongside an eclectic cast that features everyone from Tiga to A-Trak to The Magician and 2manydjs. Here’s what went down when we caught up with him ahead of his busiest season on the White Isle to date…
Tell us a bit about growing up in France. What was it like for electronic music? “In the late '80s I discovered electronic music through crossover tracks like Inner City’s 'Big Fun' and Lil Louis’s 'French Kiss', which I’m quite sure even topped the French charts for a while. In the '90s, dance music was the popular thing, especially to us French guys thanks to Daft Punk’s 'Da Funk'.”
And at what stage did you start taking the music seriously?“Probably in 1990 when I got my first vinyl decks and started mixing records. I had enough money for two 12’’s a week and started with techno and acid house, then NYC house such as Strictly Rhythm and Nervous. I was DJing at every occasion I could, from school parties to weddings, sometimes simply in my room for hours. It was a passion. It has always been a passion and I have always found it hard to consider it a job. I started to make beats on a home computer in 1996, but back then I’d no idea it’d turn into my profession like it is today.”
How would you describe the vibe in the clubs in France at that time?
