Cosenza Comes Out On Top With His Latest Remix Of Clockwork’s “Champion”
I love when Cosenza sends me tracks because I immediately know theyre going to be fire! This Philly based producer is a TSS regular, and his tracks speak for themselves. Keeping a simplistic old school TRAP sound, Cosenza turns up Clockworks original into a heater. With that element of main stage TRAP incorporated in, this []

Who is ready for a hearty helping of some Clockwork? Hidden Agenda | Clockwork Orange 21st Birthday | FutureEverything | BleeD Presents Young Echo | United Nations Of Dub WeekenderHidden Agenda, DublinIn Shut Up And Play The Hits, the documentary about LCD Soundsystem's last-ever gig, there's an understandable focus on DFA Records, the latter day-disco label that amped up James Murphy's indie sensibilities and made NYC cool again. Aside from the gargantuan influence of Murphy, DFA got to work championing Shit Robot and the Juan Maclean, who melted down minimal TECHNO funk, disco and acid house into the kind of progressive jams that really tear DANCEFLOOR apart. LCD singer Nancy Whang has lent her efforts to Shit Robot's newest single, Do That Dance, and it's clear that neither party has lost their edge. A B2B set from Shit Robot and the Juan Maclean is sure to be a real love-in.The Button Factory, SatLMClockwork Orange 21st Birthday, LondonAs London club culture began to grow and flourish out of the acid house scene in the early 90s, Clockwork Orange became one of the definitive club nights in the capital, as well as Ibiza. Teyana Taylor KTSE review – Taylor and Kanye combine grit and soul
Producer West melds old and new RB with flair on the Harlem singer’s second album – and ends with a wild left turnOn each consecutive Friday, since late May, the public has been issued with a Kanye West-produced seven-track album from an ARTIST on his GOOD Music roster. That is, until this Friday, when the CLOCKWORK like run – which has so far included records from Nas, Pusha T, West himself and Kids See Ghosts, his collaboration with Kid Cudi – was supposed to come to an end with RB singer Teyana Taylor’s second album. On Thursday, Kim Kardashian West tweeted that her husband was completing the record on the plane back from Paris fashion week. Friday came and went. Eventually, the album arrived on Saturday, by then lunchtime in the UK. The tardiness felt a tad disrespectful to Taylor – who spent Friday retweeting memes about the album’s delay – especially considering that her career hinged on West’s patronage far more so than any of the other ARTIST
MY FIRST TIME IN IBIZA RICHY AHMED
MY FIRST TIME IN IBIZA: RICHY AHMEDWe caught up with Richy Ahmed to chat about his first time on the White Isle...
Issue:546“The first time I came to Ibiza was on a lads’ holiday. It was 2001 and there were 15 lads from South Shields on holiday, all staying in an apartment at the back of San Antonio.
We’d always loved partying but at that stage we still hadn’t really got into HOUSE MUSIC so Ibiza was my first proper experience of it all. We basically went to every single club on the island — and made a point of doing so.
We went everywhere, just to experience everything.
We went to the foam party at Eden, to Es Paradis for Clockwork Orange and to Pacha. I went to Space four times in one week! Then there was Manumission…wow! But as soon I got to DC10 I knew it was the place for me.
I just couldn’t get enough of it — it was complete debauchery. One of my mates even went out for four days at a time that week. Oh… and we made sure to get leathered in the West End too!”

The Range Potential review – wannabe superstars centre stage
(Domino)For his second album, Brooklyn-based producer James Hinton has developed a conceit that’s beguiling if you know the back story but perplexing if you don’t. Each vocal sample on the record was borrowed from an aspiring singer or rapper in an obscure corner of YouTube. The title is optimistic: few of these vocalists display obvious potential, and their presence amid Hinton’s finely calibrated beats can be jarring. The CLOCKWORK production accentuates their awkwardness. But then you learn that the singer on Falling Out of Phase was doing a Keyshia Cole cover in front of a shower curtain and suddenly it all seems so much more affecting. It helps that Hinton’s regard for these wannabe superstars seems genuine. Continue reading...

But sod the football, this is a night dedicated to the lovers of pure machine music, with two live sets stacked with hardware, including one from resident Rabota.
Interested? We've got a pair of VIP tickets for the event and two T-shirts from Millionhands to give away. Send the words AVANT GARDE to competition@djmag.com and wait for confirmation.
